Empowering Women: Insights, Strategies and Action
The Zimbabwe Information and Technology Empowerment Trust in collaboration with Tivake Foundation and Zimbabwe Germany Society join the global community in commemorating International Women’s Day, celebrated every year on the 8th of March. This year’s theme, “For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment,” calls for action to unlock equal rights, power, and opportunities for all and, envision a feminist future where no one is left behind. Central to this vision is empowering the next generation that is the youth, particularly young women and adolescent girls as catalysts for lasting change. This year’s IWD commemoration will be held on the 5th of March, and comes at a pivotal moment in the global pursuit of gender equality and women’s empowerment, as 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
